Varsity Head Coach
Tim Lawrence
Tim Lawrence will be in his sixth season as the Lady Pioneer head coach. Lawrence is a 1988 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education. He has a Master Degree in Sports Science from Ashland University.
This past season the Lady Pioneers had a 14-2-4 record. The Orange varsity won the program's first district championship in 2019. Coach Lawrence also led the program to OCC championships in 2017, 2019, and 2020.
Before being named head coach at Orange in 2017, Tim was the head coach of the Westerville North women’s soccer program from 1989-2011. Tim also coached in the Classics Eagles soccer club from 2012-2017. While at Westerville North, Tim compiled a record of 317-86-57 in 23 years as head coach. During his time at North, the Warriors won two state championships (1990, 1992), four regional championships, 10 district championships, and 10 OCC championships. Tim was also named state of Ohio HS coach of the year twice (1991, 2003). Tim was inducted into Westerville North’s Athletic Hall of Fame in February, 2020. Tim was also inducted into the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association's Hall of Fame following the 2021 season.
Tim is a 1983 graduate of Westerville South High School and is currently a Health/PE teacher at Westerville Central HS. Lawrence holds an United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma and a USSF National Youth License. Tim resides in Galena with his wife Amy, son Jake (UC student), and daughter Maggie (UD student).
